AnyMartialArt.org
why we hate spam...
The ammount of spam now in circulation is so great it's literally clogging up the networks! That means trouble for everyone,
not just those who rely on eMail since it uses the same networks as web traffic - spam eMail it's slowing down everything!
Worse still, it's so easy to forge an eMail that it's almost trivial to send spam to someone claiming to be from, lets
say 'AnyMartialArt.org'. So how can you tell if a message is genuine?
What we do to help matters
We'll firstly you should know we only send eMail messages out as a response to a system request or in reply to an eMail,
not just for the heck of it. System requests are usually directly triggered by members - for instance, when you become
a member we send a request for confirmation. Likewise, a martial art club organiser could add his/her instructors to the
club listing, this triggers a confirmation message too.
Each message sent to a member contains their UserName (their online alias) within the subject of the eMail. This means,
should you suffer from spam you can mark incomming messages automatically using your spam filters. Automated messages
from our website will contain your UserName. If you get a message out of the blue that doesn't contain this, it's probably
suspect.
It is possible an administrator may wish to write to you, again usually in response to a message you may have already
sent but sometimes it may be simply be to seek clarification on a 'membership related' issue.
If you have recieved spam claiming to originate from AnyMartialArt.org pease let us know - we might be able to track
the spammers on your behalf. You can contact us by (guess what?) eMail using our online facility HERE.
If you have any questions or would like to raise an eMail related issue please do.
